For, “Them”

Whose voice do I hear that shrieks with joy?

Promises of pleasure

Caresses

I become, in turn, both girl and boy

A hand that heals, like flesh on glue

Honeysuckle

Kisses stained with human dew

My wooden soul splinters blood and love

My heart of iron dissolves

The drought has ended

I am understood
